Step through an ancient gate to find peace and calm in this old stone house (formerly a silk farm built in the late 1700's) with its huge garden, cooling pool and shading lime trees.
You will be very well looked after by the owners, Louis and Florence who live on site and are always available. There's plenty of space, so even if the place is full you can find somewhere peaceful and private.
It is a very popular hotel at the foot of Malaucène climb to the famous Mont Ventoux...what a better place to stay if you are a cyclist!
The hotel has been stylishly refurbished and the rooms are individually decorated in a classic but modern style with vintage furniture.
With 19 rooms for 1 ,2, 3 or 4 persons and 2 lodges within the grounds, which are available to rent weekly you will find plenty of space for yourself or your group to stay for the perfect cycling holiday. All rooms are en-suite (bath or shower).
The hotel's unique location means that it is sat in beautiful quiet grounds away from the noise of the traffic and people, but the town centre which bustles with cyclists in the season is just around the corner, as are a number of bike rental shops, bars and restaurants.
The hotel is located at the foot of Mont Ventoux, in the heart of Malaucène, a typically Provençal village, in the delightful area of Vaucluse.
Malaucène is approximately 1h30 min from Marseille airport or 45 min from Avignon TGV by car. Taxi's can be arranged on request through the hotel.
The hotel's location offers excellent access to the routes and roads of Provence. Being located on the route to Mont Ventoux, you can start riding from the hotel gate.
Many different cycling routes can be suggested by the owners of the hotel, who will be glad to recommend routes suitable for you or your group's ability.
Maps and advice can be provided by the hotel and the local tourist information office in the village.
Bikes can be hired from a local bike shop, which is only 150m from the hotel and this can be arranged through ourselves.
If you are not confident cycling the routes by yourself, why not arrange to book a local guide that organises guided rides for individuals and small groups. We can recommend a good local company.
After a hard days cycling the routes of Provence or climbing Mont Ventoux, the owners will be happy to recommend and even book a table for you at one of the many restaurants in the village or nearby.
